Prevent problem behaviors from starting with our Puppy Best Start Program.
This course is for people/dog friendly dogs 8 weeks to 5 months old who are not fearful of people/dogs, do not bark excessively, have not bit a person/dog, and do not guard people/food/toys. If you are unsure that your dog meets these requirements, please contact us for help choosing the right option for your dog before registering for group classes.
Class is 45 minutes long for 7 consecutive weeks in the location you register for. Class one is without the dogs to review pre-class exercises to ensure your pup is able to focus on you while learning, review proper equipment and supplies needed for class, and to address any questions you have. COVID GUIDELINES REQUIRED TO ATTEND - 2 adult participants per dog max (no children/teens), all must wear masks to enter buildings (no exceptions medical or otherwise).
Our Puppy K and Play course is designed to get you and your puppy off to a great start. This course includes: Loose Leash Walking, Come/Recall, Sit, Down, Stay, Settle, Touch, and Stand. In addition to learning basic obedience, we will focus on avoiding common problem behaviors in the home, such as housebreaking, chewing, nipping, and jumping on guests. We will also review puppy socialization, handling, and basic care and grooming needs.
Proof of age appropriate vaccinations (DHLPP, Bordatella) is required to participate in class. If you have heard that puppies should not attend class until after they receive their Rabies vaccination - click here to read why that is not advisable.
No refunds will be issued once class begins.
Missed classes: Please note that we are unable to schedule make-up classes as the majority of our scheduled classes are full. Please try to schedule your puppy's spay/neuter after your class concludes if possible to avoid missing classes.
